Richmond Health Centre are pleased to welcome Dr Yogi Tikare to the practice.
Dr Tikare is an experienced General Practitioner with a strong background in acute, emergency and rural medicine. After moving to Australia in 2007, he worked across hospital emergency departments in Queensland and New South Wales before relocating to Tasmania in 2014, where he spent several years working at Calvary Hospital in Hobart.
More recently, Dr Tikare has worked in rural and regional general practice on Tasmania’s West Coast. In 2025, he was recognised as the Rural Doctors Association of Tasmania’s Rural Doctor in Training of the Year for his contribution to rural healthcare and the Queenstown community.
Both new and existing patients are welcome, and appointments can be booked online or by contacting the practice directly.
Sometimes, you may need a little more time with your GP.
If you have more than one concern to discuss, a complex health issue, or simply feel you would benefit from a more detailed conversation, booking a longer appointment may be a good option.
A longer appointment gives you and your GP more time to talk through your concerns, ask questions and discuss your healthcare needs without feeling rushed.
If you’re unsure which appointment length to choose, please contact Richmond Health Centre and our team will be happy to help.
